UPDATE: Montgomery County RainScapes Program and

CCV Supplemental RainScapes Rebate Program

The RainScapes Rewards Rebate Program offers rebates to property owners who install RainScapes techniques such as rain gardens, rain barrels, conservation landscaping and other approved projects that help control stormwater.

The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection will accept online applications for rebates of up to $7,500 for RainScapes projects on residential properties and up to $20,000 on commercial, HOAs, multifamily, or institutional properties. The county program took a planned pause on March 3, 2023, but currently plans to restart accepting applications on August 1 through October 15, 2023.

CCV is offering an additional rebate for the town residents. The Town Council budgeted $50,000 for a RainScapes Rebate Program. Town residents who complete Montgomery County RainScapes Project may receive a supplemental rebate of up to 50% of the County rebate amount, with the total combined rebate limited to 85% of the total cost of the project. Upon completion and final approval from the County, you will be required to submit a copy of the County’s rebate check and the total cost of the RainScapes project.

Residents are encouraged to identify a suitable RainScapes project for their property in anticipation of the County’s reopening of the program on August 1, 2023. As with the County, the Town’s funds for the rebates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
