Town records are public records and as such are subject to Maryland statute with regard to their disposition.  Public records may not be disposed of without permission from the Maryland State Archives. Permission is granted through approved retention schedules.  The Town’s Record Retention Schedule is found in the links below along with the links to amendments.  Please note that the amendments supersede the retention in the original schedule for the record series referenced in the changes.
