Weather permitting, the house number painting will begin this coming Monday, March 20. It is very important that all cars are parked away from the areas where house numbers will be painted. Please be sure your car is moved no later than 7:30 am on the day work is scheduled on your street. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Painting of House Numbers on Curbs

The Council is working with our contractor to paint house numbers on the Town's curbs. It is anticipated that this work will begin in early April. If you want your house number painted on the curb in front of your home, you do not need to take any action. If you do not want to take advantage of this service, please submit your name and address using the link below by Friday, March 17, 2023 (Note revised deadline). Opt Out

Heads Up – Franklin Street Gas Main Replacement Project

The Town was very recently informed that Washington Gas Contractor Northern Pipeline (NPL) will be replacing approximately 1575' of medium pressure bare steel gas main and approximately 26 service laterals. The scope of work will be on Franklin Street from Connecticut Avenue to the intersection of Summit Avenue, including 4201 Franklin Street. Proposed project timeline: July 2023 - December 2023 Washington Gas will be communicating details of this project directly with the affected residents in the near future.
