Compost Crew, a locally owned business based in Rockville, MD, provides composting service to the Town of Chevy Chase View. WHAT IS NEW FOR 2024? The Town of Chevy Chase View has started a one-year pilot program with Compost Crew. Starting February 1st, the Town will now pay 50% of the monthly service fee for the 7-gallon bucket. HOW DOES IT WORK? Compost Crew will supply each participating household with an airtight bin and compostable bags. Christmas Tree and Yard Waste Collections

Christmas trees will be removed curbside every Monday during the month of January as part of the weekly yard waste collection, with the exception of Monday, January 1st. Yard Waste collection will shift to Tuesday, January 2, 2024 to include tree removal. All other collections will continue on their regular schedule. Happy New Year!

The Town Council continues the tradition of collecting contributions for the Holiday Gift Fund. The Fund was initiated in 2010 to create a convenient and secure means for CCV residents to convey their appreciation and Season's Greetings to the wonderful Ecology crew members who collect our household waste, yard refuse and recyclable materials throughout the year. Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8th, M. T. Laney will be paving on Franklin Street between Connecticut Avenue and 4205 Franklin Street. No later than 7:30 AM, residents of this stretch of Franklin Street, who need their car during the day, should: 1.      Park on Summit Avenue on the west side, which is the side with the even house numbers. 2.      Park on Franklin Street between Cedar Lane and 4212 Franklin Street.
