Partnership with Wider Circle: A Wider Circle (AWC), a wonderful organization whose goal is to collect re-usable furniture as well as many other household items, teamed up with the Town of Chevy Chase View to collect and redistribute items to people and families in need. A Wider Circle will be driving through the Town collecting Thursday, September 7, 2023. To schedule a curbside donation, please contact A Wider Circle via phone at 301-608-3504 or via email at furnish@awidercircle.org no later than Friday, September 1, 2023.

CCV Rainscapes Rebate

Rebates will be provided on a first-to-apply basis, subject to the Program cap of $50,000 and applicant eligibility. To be eligible for a rebate, your project must be approved by the County and undertaken between August 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, unless the Program is extended. Requests to the Town for a rebate must be submitted before October 15, 2023, unless the Program is extended.

Bulk Pick-up August 5

Bulk pick-up is Saturday, August 5. As a reminder, heavy refuse includes major appliances (must have Freon removed), furniture, large toys, bicycles, and plumbing fixtures. Excluded are batteries, propane tanks, bricks, general construction debris, and iron pipes. Please have your items at the curb by 7:00 AM on Saturday as the truck comes through early.

UPDATE: Montgomery County RainScapes Program and CCV Supplemental RainScapes Rebate Program The RainScapes Rewards Rebate Program offers rebates to property owners who install RainScapes techniques such as rain gardens, rain barrels, conservation landscaping and other approved projects that help control stormwater. The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection will accept online applications for rebates of up to $7,500 for RainScapes projects on residential properties and up to $20,000 on commercial, HOAs, multifamily, or institutional properties. Dear Residents, As previously reported Washington Gas and Light (WGL) will be replacing the gas main on Franklin Street between Summit Avenue and Connecticut Avenue. The start date is Monday, July 17th, weather permitting. This work will be performed by NPL, subcontractor for Washington Gas. Washington Gas will provide traffic controllers for the safety of the residents and the crew. Dear Residents, Tomorrow, Thursday, July 13, 2023, the Town's civil engineering contractor, Charles P. Johnson & Associates, Inc. (CPJ), will have a survey crew on site to mark the front property corners of the Franklin Street residences that will be affected by the previously reported upcoming Washington Gas main line replacement project.
